A romantic Valentine treat for the public will be enjoyed at 7 p.m. Thursday at Concordia Bank. Coming to Vidalia from Los Angeles and New York for your pleasure is Jordan Bennett’s performance, “Love Changes Everything!”
This great show, free and open to the public, is presented by the Concordia Parish Library, Concordia Bank & Trust Co. and the Louisiana Division of the Arts.
You will be able to sit back and listen to your favorites “My Funny Valentine,” “Bring Him Home” and others.
Jordan Bennett’s performance has been described as a one-man show filled with dignity, power, and grace.
Bennett’s credentials are outstanding. He starred at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles in a world premiere presentation of the new musical, “Masada.” He also appeared at the Shubert in “Les Miserables.”
He then went on to Broadway to play in “Cyrano: The Musical,” “Shenandoah,” “Evita,” “Chess,” “Perfectly Frank,” “The Fantasticks” and many other shows. On television, he has had recurring roles in “Too Close For Comfort,” “The Waltons,” “Emergency” and “The Young and the Restless.”
His flexibility allows him many options. The LA Times described Bennett with a big voice, large store of exquisite tenderness and enviable ability to sustain it in high notes.
This evening performance is also supported by a grant from the Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Arts Council of Central Louisiana and made possible by a block-booking through the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts’ Presenters Network.
Jordan Bennett will charm and entertain you with his silky powerful singing voice of romantic tunes at the Concordia Bank Lobby at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Come and enjoy your favorite “love songs.”
