Services for Henry Turner Sr., 70, of Woodville, who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Second Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Woodville.
Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born Nov. 16, 1936, in Wilkinson County, the son of Ben Holsum Britton Turner and Thelma Arnette.
He was a retired construction worker and a member and usher at Rose Hill Second Zion Baptist Church.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Antwan Turner; two brothers, James Turner Sr. and Dan H. Turner Sr.; one sister, Annie B. Arbuthnot.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Marshall Turner of Woodville; two sons, Henry Turner Jr. of Woodville and Shaun Turner and his wife, Vanessa, of Baker, La.; one daughter, Janice Bailey and husband Patrick Carter, of Woodville; four brothers, Willie Turner and his wife, Ruby, Jessie Turner and his wife, Daisy, George Turner and his wife, Linda, and Frank Turner and his wife, Rose Marie, all of Woodville; one sister, Edna Ruth turner of Woodville; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
