Services for Junius Roy Sr., 84, of Woodville, who died Monday Jan. 8, 2007, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Angola Baptist Church with the Rev. Cleveland Spencer officiating.
Burial will follow at Cedar Rest No. 2 Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home, Woodville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Roy was born April 12, 1922, in Adams County, the son of Lane Roy and Annie Dorsey Hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Georgetta Roy of Woodville; sons, Junius Roy and wife, Primrose, of Woodville, George Roy of Norfolk, Va., Charles Roy and Wadell Roy, both of Jackson, Joseph Roy and wife, Sharon, of Newport News, Va., Oscar Roy and wife, Denise, and John Roy, all of Baton Rouge, Vincent Jenkins, Melvin Jenkins and Bernard Jenkins, all of Woodville; daughters, Audrey Hunter of Centreville, Annie Griffin of Baton Rouge, Edna Harvey of Woodville, and Debra Ricard and husband, Ferdinand, of Baton Rouge; brothers, David Tolliver of Summerall, Robert Hunter and Wade Tolliver, both of Woodville; sister, Maxiane Rounds of Natchez; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
