Local games delayed again because of snow

NATCHEZ — Icy road conditions forced area prep basketball games scheduled for Tuesday to be postponed, and a local soccer game set for today has also been postponed.
Ferriday High School’s LHSAA District 2-2A games against Sterlington were postponed to Saturday, beginning at 3 p.m., according to Lady Trojans head coach Lisa Abron.
Vidalia High School’s district basketball games against Buckeye will be either today or Thursday, according to boys assistant coach Damus Smith. If both Vidalia and Buckeye are in school today, the games will be played beginning at 6 p.m. today. If not, the games will be played Thursday at the same time.
Cathedral High School’s games at the Mississippi School for the Deaf has been postponed as well, according to the athletic director. The game will now be played Feb. 5, beginning at 5 p.m.
Adams County Christian School’s soccer game against Copiah Academy that was scheduled for today has been canceled. Head coach Jimmy Allgood said he’s not sure if the game will be made up. ACCS’ game at Hartfield Academy scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday is still expected to take place, Allgood said.
The Cathedral varsity girls’ soccer team’s playoff game at St. Andrews scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday is still expected to take place, according to assistant coach Beth Foster.
Monterey High School boys basketball coach Eric Richard said Tuesday’s games against Grace Christian School have been postponed to Monday, beginning at 6 p.m.
Tensas Academy boys basketball coach Nick Peré said Tuesday’s games against Franklin Academy have been moved to today, beginning at 4 p.m. at home.
