Services for Peggy Mizell “Meme” Scott, 77, of Roxie, who died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Roxie Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, in Franklin County, under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home, Meadville.

Mrs. Scott was born Oct. 23, 1929, in Roxie, the daughter of Johnny Mizell and Laurie Whitehead Mizell. She was a bookkeeper. She served as past Worthy Grand Matron of Eastern Star-Roxie Chapter. She was a member of Roxie Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, J. W. “Billy” Scott of Roxie; son, Vic Scott and wife, Kaye, of Roxie; daughter Laurie Patterson and husband, Marc, of Roxie; grandchildren, Jennifer Scott, Scott Patterson, Amanda Scott, Blaine Patterson and Amy Patterson; and great-grandchild, Morgan Duck.
