Services for Annie Banks, 74, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Promise Professional Rehab Hospital, in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at King Solomon Baptist Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating.

Burial follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at Mackel’s Chapel and at 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Banks was born Sept. 27, 1932, in Amite County, the daughter of Henry Spears and Louiza Norwood Spears. She was a Baptist and a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Rufus S. Banks Sr.

Survivors include her children, Rufus Banks Jr. and wife, DeWanna, of Bakersfield, Calif., Alfred Gene Banks and wife, Lyvette, of Natchez, Melvin Banks and wife, Sandi, and Cathy Banks Hendricks and husband, Tyrone, all of Dallas; seven grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Thompson of Liberty; a number of other relatives and friends.
