Odie Bonds

Services for Odie Lee Bonds, 89, of Roxie, who died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hamburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Buckels officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home of Meadville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Bonds was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Franklin County, the son of Luther H. Bonds and Mabel Calcote Bonds. He retired from Murphy Oil Company. He was a member of Roxie Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He was a lifetime member of Hamburg Baptist Church. He was a wonderful father, husband and granddad.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son; one brother; and one grandson.
Survivors include his son, Willie Odie Bonds of Roxie; his daughter, Crecia Bonds Webb of Prattville, Ala.; sisters, Lucille Hall of Memphis, Tenn. and Mildred B. Hester of Moss Point; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Windell Bonds, Wade Bonds, Ward Bonds, Odie Lynn Bonds, Stan M. Webb and Brent Cole.
Honorary pallbearers are Carl Ray Lehmann, Billy Scott, R.L. Landers, Lane Landers and Darrell Cole.
