Services for Carmine Genevieve “Genny” Montgomery Acton, 70, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at her home, will be 12:30 p.m. today at St. George Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Bass officiating.
Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Mausoleum under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Acton worked for Louisiana Women’s Health Care Associates. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church and Pennington Research Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Carmine Spencer Montgomery; brothers, Dave Levitt, Charles Montgomery, Bob Montgomery, Homer Montgomery and Clifton Montgomery; sisters, Marie Patterson and Hilda Montgomery Erickson.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Harris Gayle and husband, Michael C., of Gonzales and Barbara Ann Acton Stein and husband, Kenneth, of Baton Rouge; a son, Mike Acton of Bristol, Va.; grandchildren, Conrad Lee Gayle, Preston Edward Lamy, Thomas Louis Steven Gayle, and Mason Ray Acton; a close friend, Buster Schilling; several cousins, Suzanne Bowman, Louise Bond, Malcom Montgomery, Gerald Montgomery and Fran Montgomery Ater.
Pallbearers will be Joe Jackson, Charles Norris Montgomery, Jason Duplessis, Keith Davis, Eric Erickson, Colby Hebert, and Tim LaCox.
Honorary pallbearers will be physicians and staff of Louisiana Women’s Health Care Associates, The Oncology Group and Home Health at Woman’s Hospital.
