Mary Louise Jackson

Services for Mary Louise Jones Jackson, 87, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Saint James Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at Egypt Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10:30 to service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Jackson was born Aug. 4, 1919, the daughter of Willie Jones and Nellie Palmer Jones. She was a member of Greater Saint James Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson; her parents; sister, Elnora Jones Hearns; brothers, Elmo Jones, Willie Jones and Ben Jones.

Survivors include her sons, Ernest Jackson of Southaven and James L. Jackson of Baton Rouge; devoted daughter-in-law, Alice Cockerham Jackson; grandchildren, Andre Orlando Jackson of Nashville, Tenn., Melodie Thomas and husband, Orlando, of Plano, Texas, Everall Jackson and wife, Denise, of New Orleans, and Nyah Natrice Jackson of Atlanta; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha Jones of Natchez; nieces, Velma D. Chatman of Germantown, Md. and Andria Jones Shultz of Princeton, N.J.; nephews, Robert Smith of Detroit, Eddie Jones of Natchez, Willie James Jones of Baton Rouge and Jimmie Earl Smith of New York City; others who will miss her dearly include daughter-in-law, Carolyn Robertson Jackson, Lula Blacher, Cheryl Bordnave, Connie Williams, Bobby Campbell, James Brumfield, Linda Jones Richard; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her as she loved them.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
