Services for Marvyn Trisler Paul, 93, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, in Easley, S. C., will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Eva Church of God with Bros. Steve Ellis and Kevin Simms officiating.

Burial will follow at the Paul Family Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Paul was born Sept. 29, 1913, in Catahoula, La., the daughter of Sam Trisler and Ruth Dale Trisler. She was a resident of Monterey and a member of Eva Church of God. Mrs. Paul retired from Concordia Parish Schools after 35 years of teaching.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Paul; her parents; a brother, S. A. Trisler Jr.; and sister, Mary Belle Williams.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Ellis and husband, Steve, of Greenville, S.C. and Carla Mason and husband, Ray, of Natchez; granddaughter, Lori Nielsen and husband, Patrick, of North Carolina; grandson, Davis Ellis of South Carolina; and great-grandson, Stephen Allen Nielsen.
Pallbearers will be nephews and close friends.

Memorials may be made to the Eva Church of God building fund.
