Services for Thomas C. Ros, 79, of Gloster, who died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster under the direction of the Revs. David Brooks, Charles Nash and Jim Talbert.
Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ros was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Pascagoula. He was a member and lay-leader of Woodland United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States army. He worked for International Paper Company in Natchez for 40 years as a lab instructor. He also worked at the Georgia Pacific plant in Gloster over security.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Tommy Ros.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Betz Ros of Gloster; his children, Lang Fleming and husband, Steve, of Vidalia, Jim Ros and wife, Deanie, of Hammond, La., Philip Ros and wife, Jana, of Cullman, Ala. and Cherye McDaniel and husband, Kelvin of Franklinton, La.; step-children, Keita Nelson Robinson and husband, Spencer, Loren Nelson and Mike Nelson and wife, Jan, all of Gloster.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
