NATCHEZ — Services for Carolyn Gene Gousset, 63, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, in Natchez, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunnyside Church with the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gousset was born Feb. 14, 1950, in Ferriday, the daughter of James Metcalf and Mary Metcalf.

She was a resident of Natchez, a teacher with over 20 years of service and a member of Sunnyside Church.

Mrs. Gousset was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Shorty Metcalf.

Survivors include one son, Kirk Cavin, of Pearland, Texas, and a number of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be D.D. Sumerall, Butch Cavin, Joel Guyer, David King, Leigh King and Dusty Butler.
