Prep roundups: Franklin County boys, girls soccer blank Cathedral

MEADVILLE — The Franklin County High School girls soccer team faced likely their toughest test in Region 6-1A/2A/3A in Cathedral High School Saturday.
And the Lady Bulldogs came out unscathed with a 2-0 win, remaining undefeated on the season.
Krislyn Kent and Si’Edriq Middleton both scored for the Lady Bulldogs, who improved to 14-0 on the season, 6-0 in regional play.
Cathedral (6-3, 5-1) will host Franklin County Friday, while Franklin County will play at Hattiesburg Monday for a makeup game.
Franklin County boys 9, Cathedral 0
Seven different Franklin County boys scored goals as the Bulldogs joined their female counterparts in the undefeated column with a 9-0 win against Cathedral.
Hoby Mullins led Franklin County with a hat trick, or three goals, and Zayne Mullins, D.J. Booker, Ryan Shaw, Kyle McKormick, Greg Queen and Chase Freeman all tallied one goal apiece.
Franklin County (14-0, 6-0) will play at Hattiesburg Monday, while Cathedral (2-8, 1-5) will host Franklin County Friday.
Central Hinds 6, ACCS boys 0
NATCHEZ — Despite what head coach Jimmy Allgood called a strong start to the game, the Adams County Christian School boys were unable to score in a 6-0 shutout loss to Central Hinds Saturday.
ACCS trailed 3-0 at halftime, and despite holding Central Hinds scoreless in the first 20 minutes of the second half, Central Hinds was eventually able to pull away.
ACCS (9-2) will play at Central Private Thursday.
