Services for Cathy Clanton Gamberi, 46, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gamberi was born Sept. 20, 1960, in Natchez, the daughter of John Hiram Clanton and Margaret Alyene Price Clanton. She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church. She was owner of Cathy’s Cowboy Corral. Cathy cherished life to the fullest, never turning away anyone in need. She was always there with an open heart. She said she was undeserving of the outpouring of love shown to her by the response to the benefit given for her. The cards, prayers, and monetary gifts overwhelmed her. She will be greatly missed by her family, devoted employees, friends, and the community. She loved everyone.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret Clanton of Natchez; sister, Kay Franks and husband, James, of Natchez; nephew, James Franks and wife, Johnie, of Shannon; niece, Misty Sanders and husband, Mark, of Wesson; loving extended family, Grover Yelverton, Lee Yelverton, Jeanne Smith, Jason, Genna and Garrett Yelverton; special companion and canine son, Toby; a great-nephew; three great-nieces; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Larry Gamberi, Chad Gamberi, Jason Rushing, Jason Yelverton, Lee Yelverton, Garrett Yelverton, Chris Franks and Aaron Erwin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Galloway, Clyde Cavin and Don Cavin.
