Services for Kenneth Joseph Davis, 59, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at St. Mary Basilica with Father David O’Connor officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was born Feb. 7, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Raymond Tripp Davis and Mary Theresa Eidt Davis. He was a member of St. Mary Basilica and Knights of Columbus. He was the past president of St. Mary Parish Council and served as a member of St. Mary finance committee. He was a member of the USM Alumni Association. He was employed as an independent accountant and city manager for Vidalia.
A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and good friend, he loved the Lord and his church. His relationship with the Lord was evident in all that he accomplished. He lived his life with integrity and honor. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Survivors include his wife, Susan Emrick Davis of Natchez; daughters, Alyson Davis and Dara Davis Weidman and husband, Wade, all of Baton Rouge; grandsons, Cole and Cullin Weidman of Baton Rouge; mother, Mary Theresa Davis of Natchez; brother, Raymond T. Davis Jr. and wife, Pam, of Opelika, Ala.; and his faithful dog, Heidi.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Finn, Tommy O’Brien, Malcolm Day, Keyn Murray, Eddie Foley, Johnny Hicks, Josh Callaway and Pat Biglane.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mayor Hyram Copeland the Vidalia Board of Aldermen.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Basilica, Cathedral development fund or a charity of choice.
