Services for William “Willie” Durwood Turner, 26, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lesley Wooten and Betty Turner Sanson officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner was born Oct. 9, 1980, in Pineville, the son of Joseph Turner Sr. and Pam Barrios. William had been a lifelong resident of this area and attended Springfield Baptist Church in Natchez. He was a deck hand with Ampol Drilling.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Joseph Turner Jr.; and his maternal grandfather, Darrell Durwood Hancock Sr.

Survivors include his father, Joseph Turner Sr. of Vidalia; his mother, Pam Barrios and husband, David, of Houma, La.; brother, Joseph Turner III and wife, Tabitha, of Vidalia; fiancé Tonya Dawson of Natchez; sons, Jared Brownell and Billy Turner; daughter, Jillian Turner; maternal grandmother, Anna Cain of Bentonia; paternal grandmother, Katherine Childers of Natchez; paternal grandfather, William “Red” and Diann Huff Turner of Vidalia; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Wiley, Hank Cockerham, Glenn Ashley, James Cain, Joe Paul Sanson and Ronnie Hancock Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be his children and cousins.
