Services for Mark Warren Hammett, 46, of Vidalia, who died Friday, March 9, 2007, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sycamore Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Cullum officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Comer Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Hammett was born Jan. 4, 1961, in Ferriday, the son of Claude Ray and Marie Hammett. He was a life long resident of Concordia Parish and was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church. He was a welder and pipefitter. Mark was also a member of the Harley Owners Group.
Survivors include his parents, Claude Ray and Marie Hammett of Vidalia; sons, Joshua Hammett of Natchitoches and Corey Ray Hammett and wife, Megan, of Luling, La.; brothers, Carey Michael “Butch” Hammett and wife, Barbara, of Vidalia and Paul Hammett and wife, Penny, of Lake St. John; nieces and nephews, Rhiannon Money, Rani Daye, Jody Hammett, and Ashlee Hammett; great-nieces and nephew, Aubrey Money, Anna Claire Hammett and Will Lott; and a special thanks to the aunts and uncles and a special friend, Chasity Tillman.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Mize, Johnny Johnson, Buster Burks, Sylvester Jones, Edward Wheat and Mike Byrd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keister Dellinger, William Wheat and Ronnie Harper.
