NATCHEZ — Stephens & Hobdy Insurance in Natchez was recently featured in an industry newsletter for its service to clients in the area.

LUBA Workers’ Comp highlighted the local business in its winter 2013 edition.

Jack Stephens and Braxton Hobdy combined their insurance firms in 1998 to create Stephens & Hobdy Insurance. Hobdy’s son Tate joined the firm in 2008.

The LUBA newsletter pointed out the firm’s focus on its clients in a down-home setting while applauding its industry innovation.

“While it offers the kind of personal service you’d expect from a local agency, the client list and coverage types are wide ranging with a concentration in historic properties, oil and gas, lumber, manufacturing and energy,” the newsletter said. “You’ll also find the kind of innovation not usually seen with a nine-person staff.”
