Lynda McMillin

Services for Lynda Pearl McMillin, 68, of Jonesville, who died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in Jonesville, will be 10 a.m. today at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Dennis Relaford officiating.

Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Jonesville.

Mrs. McMillin was born June 6, 1938, in Jonesville, the daughter of J. A. McMillin and Pearl Ford McMillin. She was an assistant for Dr. Charlie Passman and worked in the cafeteria at Jonesville Elementary School. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served as secretary. She was also a volunteer at the Columns Nursing Home from 2002 to 2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glen, Joe and Weedon McMillin; sister, Mary Willie Taunton; niece, Barbie McMillin; sister-in-law, Beverly McMillin; and brother-in-law, J. B. Taunton.

Survivors include her nephews, Jimbo McMillin and wife, Nena Jo, Mark McMillin and Maxie Taunton and wife, Pat, all of Jonesville; niece, Janet Payne of Jonesville; great-nieces and nephews, Dillon McMillin, Megan McMillin, Josh Wilkinson, Mac McMillin, Will McMillin, Cole McMillin, Farah Taunton, Cristy Taunton, Heath Payne and Nichole Woodrum.

Pallbearers will be Josh Wilkinson, Heath Payne, Brad Cockerham, Bill Cockerham, Mac McMillin and Wil McMillin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Ferrington, Billbo Smith and Shelby Beasley.
