Services for Trim Larry Rowan Sr., 51, of Dallas will be 10 a.m. Friday at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas.
Burial will follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Restland Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rowan was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Leroy Rowan Sr. and Ethel C. Rowan. He was a 1974 graduate of South Natchez High School and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas. He was also a loving husband and father, an adoring grandfather, and a devoted son and brother.
He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, William M. Rowan and Leroy Rowan Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Mistie W. Rowan of Dallas; son, Trim L. Rowan Jr. of Dallas; daughters, Shonda L. Minor of Houston, and TaJuanda M. Sly-McGee of Dallas; grandchildren, Kaylynn A. McGee of New Orleans, Jaylen D. Griffin of Houston and Jaylan R. McGee of Dallas; six stepchildren of Dallas; mother, Ethel C. Rowan of Natchez; brother, Lawrence S. Rowan of Dallas; sisters, Alice Skinner and husband, Bill, of New Orleans, Vertis Flanagan, Jerlian King, Donna Laurant and Mary King and husband, Thurston, and Lynn S. Rowan, all of Natchez, and Anna P. Williams and husband, James, of El Paso, Texas; uncle, Rogers Clay and wife, Marie, of New Orleans; aunts, Rebecca Whitley of Chicago, Ill. and Edna Mitchell of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tron Lee Cornet, Ronnie B. Davis Sr., Randy Good, Andrew McFolling, Ronnie Page and William Singleton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence S. Rowan, Reginald Flanagan, Efference Gordon, Kevin Flanagan, Keith Laurant, Garrett Knight, Richard Jackson and Ned King Jr.
