Memorial services for Laura Armand Freeman, 79, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, in Las Vegas, will be 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Louis Sklar officiating.
Burial of cremains will be at Mt. Beulah Christian Church Cemetery, in Frogmore, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Mrs. Freeman was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Concordia Parish, the daughter of Royal and Laura Limeaux Armand. She was a certified nurse’s assistant. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Freeman; and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Simuel DeGruy Jr. of Las Vegas, Hayward DeGruy of Los Angeles, Calif. and Verlin “Steven” DeGruy of Ferriday; her daughter, Gail DeGruy Rhodes of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of loving and devoted nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Freeman was cremated at a previous date.
