NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Marvin Bertrand Darsey, 85, of Arcadia, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arcadia, will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Spencer officiating.

Burial will follow at the cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Darsey was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Cypress, La., the son of Joseph Waldo Darsey and Effie Mae Darsey. He was a long-time resident of Natchez and retired from Armstrong Tire Company. Mr. Darsey was a veteran of the Korean War and served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolly Harrigal Darsey.

Survivors include one daughter, Dolly Ann McCowan and husband, Fred, of San Marcos, Texas; one brother, Frank E. Darsey of Shreveport; three sisters, Betty Darsey of Arcadia, Sue Hayes and husband, Cecil, of Bossier City and Judt Futch of Arcadia; and several nieces and nephews.
