Services for Rayma Haley, 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Community Chapel Church of God with the Rev. Steve Pearson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Haley was born July 18, 1926, in Sunflower County, the daughter of Robert Powell and Carrye Young Powell. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mama, maw-maw and great maw-maw. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. She was a member of Community Chapel Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Walter Haley; brothers, Robert “Bubba” Powell and Paul Powell; a sister, Frances Coleman; and stepfather, L. M. “Pop” Murphy.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Haley Ainsworth and husband, Joe, of Natchez; grandchildren, Robin Michelle Ainsworth Franz and husband, Dennis, of Natchez and Joey Ainsworth and fianceé, Buffy Bolyer, of Vidalia; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Colton, and Carson Franz, Mady Ainsworth and Macy Hardy; sisters-in-law, Billie Brown of Terry, Amanda Sullivan of Natchez and Naomi Lange of Hollywood, Fla.; special friends, Julia Chapman, Frances Carman and Betty Womack, all of Natchez; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Womack, Harley Loy, Donnie Shupe and Dr. Tuananh Pham.
