Adams County Justice Court Cases

Nov. 22-28:

Christopher Holley charged with child abuse. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Jeffery Clark charged with burglary of a commercial building. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Michael Rollins charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Daniel Walk charged with sale of a controlled substance, aggravated assault, fleeing/eluding law enforcement and malicious mischief. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Monday, Nov. 25:

Javarrea Jones is eligible for release onto post-release supervision as provided by law in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court after the court, upon a showing of good cause, finds the order of clarification, dated Nov. 8, 2012, shall be withdrawn.

Wednesday, Nov. 20:

Tyrone Suzzette Washington pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Johnson’s court. Sentenced to six years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving one year, the defendant shall be placed on formal reporting post-release supervision for five years with the MDOC. Must pay all court costs and fees, which includes a $200 prosecution fee. It is further ordered that the defendant receive drug and alcohol treatment with the MDOC. As a special condition, the defendant has a curfew of 10 p.m.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, Nov. 22:

Shelia Lee Johnson, 22, found guilty of shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $598.

Britney Rochelle Green, 26, charged with shoplifting — first offense. Case remanded to files — affaint for Walmart has been relocated to another store.

Mantrell R. Conner, 25, charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case remanded to files — officer failed to appear. Victim was unable to be served subpoena —moved.

Jeminah W. Bailey, 24, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — second offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 48 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 12 days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $673.

Cody Bryan Day, 23, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Melinda Gayle Gauthier, 20, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Jamie Wooten, 19, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Louis Burkley charged with no insurance. Case dismissed — had proof of insurance.

Monday, Nov. 25:

Jatarius Dukes, 32, charged with public drunkenness. Case remanded to files at request of prosecution and officer subject to other plea. Dukes also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

Tyrone McGriff, 23, charged with shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Thirty-two days served. No fines assessed.

Tyrin Thomas, 19, charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. Case dismissed — complainant failed to appear.

Gregory Myles, 18, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Maurice Davis, misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

James W. Broussard, 43, charged with two counts of felony false pretense. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury.
