STARKVILLE — Patrick Biglane of Natchez was named the third quarter employee of the quarter at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.

Biglane is the assistant director of materials management.

Biglane was nominated by three purchasing clerks in his department.

“With time and experience behind him, Patrick has become an accomplished leader to OCH,” wrote Lynn Wisdom in her nomination form, adding that he has a professional, “take charge” attitude.

Biglane has been employed at OCH for almost three years and was selected as employee of the quarter out of more than 600 employees at the medical center in Starkville. He started out as an inventory clerk in materials management and after six months, he was promoted to assistant director of materials management.

“The most rewarding part of my job is meeting the needs of others,” Biglane said. “I enjoy making sure everyone has the materials they need to be successful and that they receive them in a timely manner.”

Biglane received his bachelors in kinesiology from Mississippi State in 2008. Last year, he completed his masters in organizational management with a concentration of health administration from Ashford University online while working full time.

He’s currently working to receive certification as a senior professional of supply management.

“I enjoy working on the business side in a medical setting and knowing that I’m helping others,” he said.

He is the son of Pat and Karen Biglane.

Patrick and his wife, Melinda, have a 22-month-old daughter, Grace Anne, and a two-month-old son, Jett.
