Graveside services for Archie A. Cowan, 67, of Crosby, who died Friday, May 18, 2007, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roseland Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Walters officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Cowan was born March 10, 1940, in Ferriday, the son of Gordon Albert Cowan and Mattie Ella Cowan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Dallas and Roland Cowan; and sisters, Gertrude Boyter and Juanita Ainsworth.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Cowan of Crosby; sons, John Cowan and wife, Lynn, both of Arlington, Texas, and Austin Cowan and wife, Summer, both of Jonesville; daughters, Annette Cowan of Natchez and Donna Walters and husband, Ricky, both of Choudrant, La.; grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Jonathan, Sarah, Meagan, Craig, Phillip, Matthew, Rachel and Amanda; brother, C.H. Cowan of Dunbarton, La.; and sister, Ruby Collins of Clayton.
