NATCHEZ — Services for Curtis Lee “Big Curt” Anderson Sr., 73, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Marblestone Baptist Church with the Rev. Herman Sylvester officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Adams County, the son of Homer and Gladys Griffin Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Bennis Davis Sr.; and two children, Curtis Anderson II and Kevin D. Ellis.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Rosia Lee Anderson; two sons, Curtis Anderson III and wife, Hattie, and Alvin Anderson, both of Natchez; three daughters, Ida Anderson of Dallas, Texas, Vanisa Anderson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Angie Hebert and husband, Steve, of New Orleans; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bishop Oscar Davis of Natchez, Audley Andreson and Bennie Davis Jr., both of Dallas; eight sisters, Gladys Sylvester Minor, a devoted sister until the very end, of Natchez, Mary Jones and husband, Bobby, Thelma Ware and husband, Huey, Sue Lewis, Ada McKinsay, Deloris Scott and husband, Floyd, all of Dallas, Katie R. Anderson of Natchez and Lillian King of Chicago; one uncle, Edgar Griffin; one special niece, Della Jackson; and a number of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
