VIDALIA — Ridgecrest voters won’t elect a mayor today.
Interim Mayor Kevin Graham will be elected mayor and Dwayne Sikes will be elected alderman because they are running unopposed.
Graham was appointed mayor earlier this year when the former mayor resigned, and Sikes will fill the alderman’s seat Graham vacated.
The only item on the ballot for Concordia Parish is the state Supreme Court race between Republicans Marcus R. Clark of West Monroe and Jimmy Faircloth of Pineville.
Voting will be at local precincts between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Voters must present a driver’s license, Louisiana Special ID or some other generally recognized picture ID with their name, address and signature on it.
Those with no picture ID may vote by bringing a utility bill, payroll check or government document with their name and address on it, and will have to sign an affidavit provided by the Secretary of State’s office.
