VIDALIA — Services for Wallace Revere “J.R.” Jennings Jr., 73, of Vidalia, who died Monday, July 9, 2007, at St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center, in Alexandria, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home, in Vidalia, with the Rev. Paul Burress officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jennings was born Feb. 6, 1934, in Vicksburg, the son of Wallace Revere Jennings Sr. and Barbara Etta Powell Jennings. Mr. Wallace served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Jean Christianson of Port Orchard, Wash.; sons, Clinton Revere Jennings of Houston, Texas, and Lucas Jennings and wife, Roxanne, of Ferriday; daughters, Connie Lynn Marcel and husband, Robby, of Bourg and Tonya Jennings Harp of Natchez; grandsons, Chad Braud, Charlie Anderson, Samuel Wallace Harp and Gavin Augustus Jennings McNeely; granddaughter, Lindsey Kay Brodnax and Allie Grace Jennings; great-grandson, Mason Brodnax, Nick and Nate Anderson; and great-granddaughters, Kyla Brodnax and Abbykate Anderson.
