NATCHEZ — Services for Betty Lee Rush, 68, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Dan Glenn officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Miss Rush was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Franklin County, the daughter of Lee Vertis and Bonnie Allgood Rush. She was a member of Natchez Humane Society and Vidalia First Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse who practiced emergency nursing at Natchez Regional Medical Center. She retired from Intensive Home Health Care, Inc. in 2001.
Survivors include her nephews, Larry P. Nix and wife, Ruth, of Natchez and John C. “Sparky” Evans and wife, Debi, of Vidalia; adopted sister, Brenda Temple of Vidalia; great-nieces, Lori D. Nix of Brandon and Jamie L. Moon and husband, Chad, of Shreveport; great-nephew, Steven Evans of Monroe; great-great-niece and nephew, Olivia Grace Moon and Tristan Philip McDaniel.
Pallbearers will be John Evans, Steven Evans, Chad Moon, Jerry Foster, Tristan McDaniel and Larry Nix.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Willard and Lonnie Willard.
Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams Humane Society.
