FERRIDAY — Four Ferriday residents were arrested Wednesday after narcotics agents seized nearly a pound of marijuana and two weapons from a Montgomery Street house.

Agents with the Concordia Parish Narcotics Taskforce responded to 121 and 123 Montgomery St. Tuesday after they were alerted of a large quantity of high-grade marijuana being shipped to those addresses.

The houses had been under surveillance for several months because of residents complaining about possible drug activity at the houses, according to the CPSO report.

With the assistance of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Natchez-Adams County Metro Narcotics Team, the agents seized 346 grams of high-grade marijuana, a .22-caliber rifle and a .45 caliber-hand gun, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Montario Tennessee, 25, 445 Freeman Road, Vidalia, was arrested on charges of possession of scheduled I with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying weapons with CDS and convicted felon in possession of firearm.

Louis Johnson Jr., 76, 121 Montgomery St., Ferriday, was arrested on charges of possession of scheduled I with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying weapons with possession of CDS.

Cotrina L. Johnson, 41, 123 Montgomery St., Ferriday, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, improper supervision of minor and child endangerment.

Louis R. Johnson, 46, 121 Montgomery St., Ferriday, was arrested on charges of possession of scheduled I with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying weapons while in possession of CDS, convicted felon in possession of firearm, open container and driving under suspension.

No bond had been set for any of the suspects involved in the case as of Wednesday evening.
