NATCHEZ — Services for Tom “Sonny” Bibbins Jr., 77, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Riverland Medical Center, in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Beulah Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Bude.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Bibbins was born April 4, 1930, in Adams County, the son of Thomas Bibbins and Melinda Seals. Mr. Bibbins was a recipient of the World War II Victory Medal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Gracie White; and brothers, Charles White and Jonas Bibbins.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Bibbins of Natchez; special friend of 22 years, Ethel L. Scott of Vidalia; daughters, Murry Dean Blanton of Milwaukee, Wisc., Tammy Williams and husband, Ernest, and Deonnia Fleming, all of Natchez; a son, Tommy Bibbins and wife, Gloria, of St. Louis, Mo.; stepdaughter, Roselyn Thomas and husband, Charles, of Houston, Texas; stepsons, Johnny Scott and wife, Lewellyn, of Gulfport, John Hawkins and wife, Angel, of Ferriday and Alex Hawkins of Vidalia; sisters, Pauline White and Patricia Neal and husband, Alex, all of Ferriday and Mary Hawkins and husband, James, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, William White of Atlanta, and Charlie White of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; stepsisters, Rosie White and Arlene Anderson and husband, Douglas; stepbrother, David White; 24 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
