LOS GATOS, CALIF. — Plans for a memorial service for Barbara Linder Anderson, 82, of Los Gatos, Calif., formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, in Los Gatos, Calif., are incomplete at this time.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1930, in El Dorado, Ark., the daughter of Frank Hardy and Thelma Coleman Linder.
She graduated from Natchez High School, Millsaps College and earned a Master of Arts degree from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
She taught intellectually challenged, learning and physically disabled children in Tennessee, Indiana, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia. She also volunteered at a home for cerebral palsied adults in Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Kenneth Linder of Tyler, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Reed Anderson of San Jose, Calif.; daughter Lys House, and husband, Lee of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren, Ben and Elizabeth House of San Jose, Calif.; a number of nephews, nieces and cousins in Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.
