10:25 Ingar Singleton obitpicNATCHEZ— Funeral services for Ingar Maraye “Curt” Singleton, 50, of Cedar Hill, Texas, formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Cedar Hill, will be noon on Saturday, at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. J.L. Hammitte Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at LaGrange Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.

He was born Oct. 6, 1963, in Chicago, the son of William Jr. and Getta Singleton.

Curt was the oldest of five children. He graduated from South Natchez High school in May 1983. He worked at the Natchez Coca Cola Company from 1983 until 1987. He met his wife, Tonya Denise Baker, in August 1984 in Vidalia and moved to Dallas in 1987, where they married on Feb. 8, 1988.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and served from 1988 until 1993, attended ATI Career Training Center and began his careerwith the Dallas County Sheriff’s Departmet. He worked there from 1989 until 2013.

Curt and Tonya were blessed with two children, Curtae and Candice. He accepted Christ in November 2000 and maintained a spirited relationship with God until his death. He was never a stranger to anyone. He was well loved and respected by all who entered his life.

He was truly an active entrepreneur with Lone Star Lawn Care ad Pressure Washing and Triple S Trucking Company being two of his most successful businesses. He loved adventure, accepted challenges and enjoyed life. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, listening to music, collecting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Tonya Denise Singleton; one son, Curtae Maraye Singleton, both of Cedar Hill; one daughter, Candice Carmella Glover of Houston; parents, William Jr. and Getta Singleton of Natchez; mother-in-law, Audrey Scott of Desoto, Texas; three sisters, Josephine Dennis and husband, Christopher of Cedar Hill, Texas, LaVonne Singleton of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Kristine Smith and husband, Kuyunnie, Rowlett, Texas; and one brother, William “Tom” Singleton; a special cousin-sister, Katie Graves of Chicago; and a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.
