FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Elizabeth D. Lewis, 75, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Baptist Church on Lake St. John with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
There will be no public viewing. Remains will lie in state one hour before services at the church.
She was born on Sept. 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Grant Dellihoue Sr. and the late Viola Williams Dellihoue Mason. She retired from Louisiana Power and Light and was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph “Sidney” Lewis Sr. and a son, Joseph Lewis Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Brown and Tammy Lewis Mercer of Ferriday; three sons, Harry Lewis of Monroe, Jacob Lewis of Ferriday and Michael Lewis and wife, Kimberly, of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Joey Lewis, Marcus Brown, Gabrielle Lewis, Genese Lewis and Grace Elizabeth Lewis; sisters, Blanche Dellihoue Hunter, Diann Dellihoue; and brothers, Grant Dellihoue and wife, Cassandra and Harry Dellihoue of New Orleans; stepfather, Sam Mason of Kansas; aunt, Josephine Williams of New Orleans and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
