FAYETTE— Funeral services for Albert Lee Vessel, 66, of Fayette, Ms., who died Saturday, Oct.19, 2013, at his home in Jefferson County, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, 2013, at Locust Grove Baptist Church in Fayette, with the Rev. Curtis Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Mr. Vessel was born on July 30, 1947, the son of the late Willie James and Dorothy Vessel in Jefferson County. He was the second oldest son of ten children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Virgie Buie, and a nephew, Merrick Vessel.

Survivors include six brothers, Willie Brown and wife, Birdie, Charles Vessel and wife, Diane of Vicksburg, James Vessel of Chicago, Arthur Vessel of Fayette, Freddie Vessel of Georgia and Henry Walton of Natchez; three sisters, Dorothy Williams and husband, Leroy of Vicksburg, Anna Fountain and Pearlie Cameron and husband, Richard of Fayette; one sister-in-law, Shirley Vessel of Chicago; two aunts, Maddie Ruth Hall and husband, George of Fayette and Nellie Vessel of Chicago; three uncles, T.J. Vessel of Fayette, Truly Vessel Jr. and wife, Evelyn and Rusievelt Vessel Sr. and wife, Alice of Gonzales; five special children, Catina Starks, Barbara Tenner, Katie Colenburg, Michael Starks and Issac June Starks, all of Fayette; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
