MEADVILLE — Services for Lourine Cowart McGehee, 90, of Meadville, who died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Saturday at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Franklin County.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. today.
Mrs. McGehee was born Feb. 23, 1917, in Little Springs, the daughter of W.H. “Dock” Cowart and Ruby Burris Cowart. She was a mother and homemaker and a member of Meadville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmo McGehee; brother Willie Ray Cowart and sister Vernell Smith.
Survivors include son Ward McGehee and wife Jean, both of Meadville; daughters Joyce Williams and husband Ron, both of Atlanta; Wilda Temple and husband Riley, both of Natchez; Margy Rushing and husband Joe, both of Memphis; sisters Ellen Cowart of McComb and Mavis Young of Smithdale; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Keith McGehee, Mike Childs, Kip Rollins, Darby Chiasson, Chris Suire and Mitch Rushing.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Gade, Hugh Calvin Murray, Fred McGehee, George Porter and Daniel Porter.
