NATCHEZ – Services for Samuel “Tim” Brooks, 53, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the Veterans Hospital, in Jackson, will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reginald Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 9, 1953, the son of Jimmy Brooks Sr. and Wayner Brooks. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brothers, Charles Brooks and wife, Jewel, of Jackson, John Brooks and Jerry Owens, both of Natchez; sisters, Leonia Evans of Natchez and Betty Smith of Crosby; an uncle, three aunts and a brother-in-law.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
