Constance and Autry James Clayton Jr. of Natchez announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Autriece Clayton to Kejuane Artez Bates, son of Mr. Ventress Poole and the late Dorothy Ann Bates.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and Tougaloo College in Jackson. She is employed by the Concordia Parish School District in Ferriday.

She is the granddaughter of Jerry Dean and Autry James Clayton Sr. of Natchez and the late Joyce Marie West.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and PenteFaith Biblical College in Houston, Texas. He is employed by the Vidalia Police Department.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Bates of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 26. 2013, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Natchez. A reception will follow at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center in Vidalia.
