MEADVILLE— Funeral services for Charles Dwight “Scoot” Briggs, 25, of Jackson, formerly of Roxie, who died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Roxie under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Briggs officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Briggs was born in Jackson on Jan. 6, 1988, to Charles H. Briggs and Shelia Moore Briggs.

He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandmother, Rose Moore; paternal grandparents, Willie and Edna Briggs.

Survivors include two daughters, Alexis and Zia; two sons, Messiah and Christian; mother, Shelia Moore Briggs and fiance, Andralene Monroe; grandfather, Forest Moore; two brothers, Kevin Briggs, Maurice Brooks and wife, Glenda,; father figure, Kevin Cavanaugh; and a number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
