FERRIDAY – Services for Ahmet Moore “Nick” Pardue, 76, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clyde Ray Webber and Paul Sutherland officiating.
Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Pineville.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Pardue was born Oct. 1, 1931, in Rapides Parish, the son of Ahmet A. and Lillie Mae M. Pardue. He was a resident of Ferriday for 41 years and was the former owner of Natchez Sheet Metal. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1953.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ahmet Nicholas Pardue; and a sister, Lilla “Sis” Shields.
Survivors include his children, Penny Delaney and husband, Randy, both of Natchez, Carla Thompson and husband, Don, both of Alexandria and Craig Pardue and wife, Amanda, both of Vidalia; brother, Enoch “Bill” Pardue of Jonesville; and grandchildren, Paul and Nicole Delaney, Louis and Sam Thompson, Leslie and Stafford Pardue, and Spencer and Brittany Burley.
Pallbearers will be James Pardue, Charles Pardue, Stanley Shields, Michael Shields, Meredith Whitehurst and Gary Bardwell.
