FERRIDAY — Services for Addie Cephus, 88, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, on Second Street, with the Rev. L.B. Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cephus was born April 20, 1919, in Ferriday, the daughter of Louis and Mary Taylor. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, George Cephus Sr.

Survivors include her sons, George Cephus Jr. and wife, Rosenda, both of Dallas, Junior Johnson and wife, Littie, and Louis J. Cephus, all of Ferriday; daughters, Oneder C. Roy and husband, Harry, both of Baton Rouge and Addie Wilson and husband, Niles, both of Ferriday; sisters, Orangell Johnson of Ferriday and Lillie M. White of Natchez; 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Carolyn J. Bridgewater of Dallas; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
