NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Mary Sandra May, 63, of Dallas, formerly of Natchez, who died peacefully in her sleep Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Community Chapel Church of God with the Rev. Steve Pearson officiating.
Sandra was born Jan. 11, 1944, the daughter of Ina Mae Taylor and Julius A. May. She was an artist, inventor and entrepreneur. She opened and operated the Charm Beauty Salon, in Natchez, until she married Johnny E. Jabour in 1975 and relocated to Vicksburg where in addition to being a wife and mother, she worked as a real estate broker. In 1996 she moved to Texas to continue her real estate career and in more recent years, she returned to hair dressing at the Razor’s Edge Salon in Plano, Texas.
Sandra was an active member of Preston Wood Baptist Church and the Plano Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her father and ex-husband.
Survivors include her mother, Ina Mae Taylor of Natchez; daughter, Jere’ Jabour of Vicksburg; siblings, Elizabeth S. May of Jackson, Babette Taylor of Las Vegas, Pat Williams of Brandon, Gwen McManus, Bubba May, Kathy May, Ann May and Michael May, all of Natchez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Banks William VanPelt III of Kingsland, Ga., Glen McManus and Freddy Marks, both of Natchez, and Hank McManus of Baton Rouge
