Michael Griffin was indicted for grand larceny on March 24, 2009. Because the case has remained inactive for a period of time of more than four years, the case is retired to files in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Tyrone Hoggatt pleaded guilty to felony fleeing (Count 2) in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in the state department of corrections. Upon release from the custody from the Mississippi Department of Corrections, the defendant must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Count 1, possession of a schedule II controlled substance – cocaine, entered nolle prosequi.

Friday, Sept. 20

Michael Liquint Johnson, who was charged with aggravated assault (Count 1) and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon (Count 2) has his case entered nolle prosequi in Judge Sanders’ court because the victim is refusing to cooperate with the state and, therefore a conviction is not probable in the case.

Jearmie Lamar O’Neal, who was indicted for three counts of possession of controlled substances, has entered nolle prosequi, his case was dismissed in Judge Johnson’s court because the defendant pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm and was sentenced accordingly on July 2.

Kendell Rondrill Griffin also known as Kendell Pondrill Griffin pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years with MDOC. After serving one day, the remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on four years and 364 days formal post-release supervision, which shall be supervised by MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

William Ryan Magee pleaded guilty to burglary of a building other than a dwelling in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years with MDOC. After serving one day, the remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on four years and 364 days formal post-release supervision, which shall be supervised by MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. The defendant shall be admitted back into and placed under the supervision of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Adult Drug Court Program.

Johnqual Lemanuel Nix pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years with MDOC. After serving one day, the remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on four years and 364 days formal post-release supervision, which shall be supervised by MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must play all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Monday, Sept. 16

Willie B. Jones pleaded guilty to intent to defraud (Count 2) in Judge Sanders’ court. The Court withheld acceptance of the defendant’s plea and entered an order of non-adjudication of guilt and imposition of sentence, provided successful completion of the conditions imposed in this order. It is further ordered that the defendant pay all court costs, a fine of $500, $100 to the Victim’s Compensation Fund, $2,115 to the office of the Mississippi Attorney General for investigation costs and restitution of $2,200.55 to Progressive Insurance Company with credit for any cost or fees already paid by the defendant. All fines, court costs, fees and restitution shall be paid within 30 days in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Count 1, conspiracy, is dismissed.

Henry Foster Jr. pleaded guilty to credit card fraud (Count 1) in Judge Sanders’ court. The court withheld acceptance of the defendant’s plea and entered an order of non-adjudication of guilt and imposition of sentence, provided successful completion of the conditions imposed in the order. Must pay all court costs and a $200 prosecution fee in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk within 30 days. Counts 2 through 6 (credit card fraud) are dismissed.

Leecie Jane Dunn pleaded guilty to the lesser misdemeanor charge of simple assault — domestic violence in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to serve a period of six months in the County Jail, suspended; to be placed on one year unsupervised probation; Immediately pay all court costs; to pay a fine of $500 within 90 days; to pay restitution to the defendant for any medical bills not paid by the Mississippi Crime Victims’ Compensation Fund; and to permanently refrain from any contact with the victim.

Thursday, Sept. 5:

Jim Turner III pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon (Count 1) in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years with MDOC. After serving one day, remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on five years formal post-release supervision, which shall be supervised by MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Counts 2 and 3, both possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, dismissed.

Jarrious Dewayne Coach pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of misdemeanor shoplifting in Judge Sanders’ court. The defendant is sentenced to serve a period of six months in the County Jail, suspended; to one year unsupervised probation; to immediately pay all court costs incurred by the county in the amount of $247.75; to pay a fine of $500 to be paid within 90 days; to pay restitution to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in the amount of $350 within 90 days.

Donderic Markee Minor pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years with MDOC. After serving one day, remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on five years formal post-release supervision, which shall be supervised by MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk within 90 days. The defendant shall attend and successfully complete an Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous program meeting weekly.

Friday, Aug. 30

Angela D. Ivory pleaded guilty to embezzlement in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to three years with MDOC suspended and placed on three years formal probation under the supervision of the MDOC. Must pay all court costs and restitution of $1,025 to the victim Sonya Bassemire, $500 to the Victim’s Compensation Fund, and a fine of $500 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk within 90 days from this date.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

Jarrioud Hauer pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 15 years with MDOC suspended and placed on five years formal probation under the supervision of MDOC. Must pay restitution of $2,700 on or before Oct. 30 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Must pay all court costs and a $200 prosecution fee in full on or before Dec. 30 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Thursday, Aug. 15

Tyrell Kelly, who was indicted on a charge of possession of a stolen firearm, has his case entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Judge Johnson’s court for pleaded guilty to simple robbery in Cause No. 10-KR-0101(C)-J and was sentenced accordingly.

Crystal Harden, who was indicted for embezzlement, has her case entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Judge Johnson’s court because counsel for the victim in this matter had notified the state by letter that the victim and Harden have reached a civil agreement for the repayment of the embezzled funds.

Andra Dechon Sanders, 35, pleaded guilty to attempted misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days, suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Eugene R. Blanchard, 26, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — second offense. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Banned from all Walmarts. Fine set at $748.

Melinda Hayses Ray, 37, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve six days in jail. Fine set at $673.

Pamela Glover-Jones, 41, pleaded guilty to amended charge of shoplifting — second offense. Sentenced to 30 days, with 25 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve five days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Tabitha Haris, 27, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $573.

Heather Renee Watson, 24, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days, with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Ashley Stevens, 18, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days, with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Shelly Rowe, 44, was charged with public drunkenness. Case remanded to files in cause of plea below. Rowe also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct —failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit for six days served. Fine set at $473 with $300 credit for days served. Must pay a fine of $173.

Markita Rita Barber, 26, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.

Ronnie Wayne Pointe, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for two days served. Fine set at $573.

Monday, Sept. 30

Joshua Harrison, 22, charged with disturbing the peace. Case dismissed at request of officer due to medical issue underlying defendant’s behavior.

Marcus Lamar Frye, 29, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — firts offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Maurice Griffin pleaded guilty to amended charge of disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days, suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for 48 hours served. Fine set at $523.

Rotisha O. Jackson, 37, pleaded guilty to amended charge of disturbing the peace of another. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

Tyaundra Batteaste, 36, charged with petit larceny. Case dismissed on lack of probable cause.
