Natchez — Funeral services for Mary Louise Ross Chatman, 57, who died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at her residence, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Forest Aid Baptist Church, Natchez with the Rev. James Johnson officiating.
Burial will be at Grove A.M.E. Church under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Chatman was born Feb. 20, 1956, in Natchez, the daughter of John Green and Beatrice Green Ross.
She attended Vidalia High School and was employed as a patient care attendant and housekeeper.
Mrs. Chatman is preceded in death by her parents; Robert Ross and Jenkins James Randall III.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Chatman Sr.; two daughters, Adraine O. Chatman of Houston and Tiffiney Green of Natchez; two sons, Oliver Chatman Jr. of Houston and Marcus Green and wife, Sherese, of Cleveland, Ohio; three devoted sisters, Sandra L. Ross of Kalamazoo, Mich., Neattie D. Phillips and Lillian L. Ross Perry of Natchez; two brothers, Rev. Lee Irving Ross and Robert Lee Ross of Natchez; one uncle, Malcom Earhart and wife, Brenda, of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Chatman and wife, Gwen, and Moses Chatman and wife, Deloris, of Chicago; seven sisters-in-law, Louise Swam and husband, Sam, of Barlett, Tenn., Sophia Hopkins and husband, the Rev. Larry, of Chicago, Selena Cobb and husband, William, of Ferriday, Shirley Henderson and husband, Leroy, and Debra Kay Hunt and husband, Don, of Natchez; Adell Chatman and Ruby Mae and husband, Jerry, of Houston; five granddaughters, Ariel Turner, Chenny Parker, Taliyah Jones, Tamia Green, and Aaliyah Proby; three grandsons, Anthony Jones, Marquez Christmas and Brayden Green; one god daughter, Stephanie Thompson; one god sister, Francine Brown; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tyrone Ross, Perry Ross, Lonzo Brown Jr., Michael Randell, Jeremy Randell, Christopher Scott and James Chatman.
