NATCHEZ – Services for Maude Hatton Robertson, 96, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Plantation Personal Care Home, in Fresno, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Faye Hudnall officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robertson was born Aug. 5, 1911, in Jefferson Davis County, the daughter of James Ira and Ollie Shivers Hatton. She graduated from the nursing school at the Natchez Charity Hospital and was a private nurse. She also worked as a nurse for the Natchez Health Department. Mrs. Robertson was a member of the First Baptist Church for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robin Mason Robertson; grandson, Philip Christopher Houck; and brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Robertson of Burlington, Vt. and Pat Hercules of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Dr. Robin Courtland Houck and Greg Hercules; granddaughter, Allison Hercules Rutledge; two great-grandchildren; brother, Boyd Hatton of Bassfield; sisters, Jane Smith of Van Nuys, Calif. and Ann Hairston of Athens, Ga.
