NATCHEZ — Services for Billy King, 67, who died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, will be at 10 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.

Graveside services will follow at noon at Royal Chapel Church Cemetery in Coles.

Mr. King was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Crosby, the son of Rayford Boyd King and Mary Ann Good King. He attended the Kingston School in Adams County. He was employed with the Adams County road department for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Day; brother, Bobby Wayne King; aunt, Mildred Smith; uncles, Eddie Good, Otis Good, Gene Good; and his beloved pet and companion, Festus.

Survivors include his sister, Martha Ann Day Roy and husband, Glynn, both of Natchez; brother, Robert Odell Day and wife, Alice Marie, both of Natchez; stepfather, Robert E. Day and wife, Lucille, both of Natchez; and nephews Glynn E. Roy Jr., Robert O. Day Jr., David C. Day, and Timothy P. Day.

He was also survived by his special lifelong friends, Jerry Buckles Sr., Sammy Corley, Alan Renefrow, and Doug McIlwain.

Pallbearers will be Glynn Roy Jr., Robert Day Jr., David Day, Timmy Day, Jerry Buckles Sr., Jerry Buckles Jr. and Zachary Day.
