RAYMOND — Jimmy Allgood gave his Adams County Christian School girls soccer team unprecedented praise following a victory at Central Hinds Academy Tuesday.
After leading 2-0 at the half off two goals by Jordan Parker, ACCS lost Parker to a leg injury, and Central Hinds came back to tie the game 2-2 and sent it into overtime. After two overtime periods, the game went to a penalty kick shootout, and Kristen Rhinehart, Anna Kate Scott and Lindsey Peterman all made their penalty kicks to give the Lady Rebels the win.
“My girls played as good a soccer match today as there has probably been played in ACCS history,” Allgood said. “They played 80 minutes of passing and trapping against a team that beat us several weeks ago, 6-1.”
ACCS will host River Oaks School at 4 p.m. today.
