GLOSTER – Services for Maurice Eldred “Red” Murray, of Crosby, who died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Field Memorial Hospital, in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bernard Waites officiating.
Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery, in Gloster, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Murray was born Feb. 10, 1915, and was the son of Fayette and Elma C. Murray. He was a retired mill manager of Southern Lumber Company in Crosby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Maxwell Murray.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Vines Murray; daughter, Sonia M. Kelly, both of Crosby; son, Eldred Keyn Murray and wife, Vicki, both of Clinton; sister, Freda M. Day of Crosby; brother, J.D. Murray and wife, JoAnn, both of McComb; grandchildren, Melissa Kelly of Brandon, Troy Kelly of Liberty, Brooke Murray of Hattiesburg and Jeff Murray and wife, Anna, both of Clinton; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Fred Kelly and Michael Davis Kelly, both of Liberty.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Murray, Troy Kelly, Cliff Murray, Bobby Johnson, Wayne Johnson and Kevin Longmire.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Perrytown Church of Christ, 5003 Perrytown Road, Crosby, MS 39633, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814 or a charity of choice.
