LOS ANGELES – Services for Clarence Arrington Jr., of Los Angeles, formerly of Vidalia, who died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Olympia Medical Center, were Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Arrington was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Vidalia, the son of Clarence Arrington Sr. and Cora Lee Washington Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Arrington; son, Wilbert Darnell Arrington; his mother; stepfather, Damus Smith Sr.; and brother, Nathaniel Washington.
Survivors include his daughters, Augustine Arrington and Brenda Atkins; son, Clarence P. Arrington IV; his father and stepmother, Clarence Arrington Sr. and Olivia Arrington, all of Los Angeles; sisters, Gerry Ellis of Vidalia and Jackie Arrington of Los Angeles; brothers, Michael Arrington and Clarence Arrington Jr., both of Los Angeles, Lionel Smith of Houston, Eddie L. Smith of Shreveport, La., Willie Arrington of Baton Rouge, Richard Washington, Damus Smith Jr. and David Washington, all of Vidalia; grandchildren, Jonathan M. Fair, James A. Franklin, NaTasha L. Franklin and Donovan M. Arrington, all of Los Angeles; a very special grandmother, Amelia “Lil Bit” Bradley, of Vidalia; uncle, William Arrington Sr. of Vidalia; and a number of other relatives and friends.
